About Aiyden: Aiyden Martindale is a 4th year medical student at the University of British Columbia born and raised on Vancouver Island. He has a passion for everything outdoors including hiking, biking, skiing and his newest hobby mountain biking. He also enjoys teaching and has started several initiatives within the medical school focusing on undergraduate medical education and multidisciplinary training. He is pursuing a Public health elective for 2 weeks to learn more about how initiatives in public health have improved the management of HIV and, more generally, how epidemiology and public health can improve the communities in which we live.
