This award supports Canada’s commitment to fostering excellence in research by recognizing and retaining outstanding doctoral students at Canadian institutions. Through her dissertation, Kiana aims to create a methodological framework to define opioid agonist therapy (OAT) episodes within administrative data, evaluate OAT adherence, and explore the effects of OAT on managing mental disorders among people with HIV.
