About Grace: Grace Zheng is an incoming 3rd year medical student at UBC. She was born and raised in Lanzhou, China, and moved to Vancouver at the age of 9. She completed her undergrad degree at UBC studying Microbiology & Immunology. She enjoys cooking and baking, watching action movies, indulging in crime show marathons (her favourites are Forensic Files and Bosch), solving Sudoku puzzles and playing badminton. She is a spicy food addict and always up to any of spicy food challenge!

Grace’s FLEX projects: Grace has been working under Dr. Lima since her 1st year of medical school. Thus far, she has been involved in two projects. She currently is collaborating on two projects with the team. The first explores the association between multimorbidity and mortality across health regions in BC among people living with HIV. The second focuses to generate a microsimulation model, a model used to predict the health outcomes of people living with HIV, based on predicted rates of comorbidity and socio-economic exposures in the population. For the microsimulation model, she completed an extensive literature review looking at the associations between chronic diseases.
